Niti aayog's Working document on enforcement of responsible #aiforall

While the benefits of AI applications are potentially many, the risks of AI are broad and can vary across contexts. For example, the use of AI in self driving cars will have different risks as compared to the use of AI for diagnostics in the health sector.

The document proposes a participatory Oversight Body for India. Rather than a regulatory role, this body is proposed to have an advisory function. Computer Science and AI experts, legal experts, sectoral experts, civil society, social science experts, industry representatives, government representatives would comprise its membership.

Some of the key functions of the body would be the management of the principles for responsible AI, supporting research and development, creating guidelines and standards, building awareness about responsible AI, coordinating with various regulators etc.
