About the Event
NITI Aayog has floated a document proposing the creation of an Artificial Intelligence oversight body for the enforcement of responsible AI practices.
Civis and Mandate Project are conducting an Expert Panel Discussion on the policy proposal on the 9th of January from 4:30-6:00 pm. Mr. Apar Gupta (Executive Director, Internet Freedom Foundation), Dr. Sarayu Natarajan (Founder, Aapti Institute), Ms. Aparna Ashok (AI Ethics Researcher, Obidos Consulting Ltd.) and Mr. Rohin Garg (AI Researcher, Internet Freedom Foundation) will be on the panel.
We would like to engage all participants in a multi-disciplinary dialogue in order to identify key issues, and provide inputs on how responsible AI practices can be implemented. The panelists will share their views on various aspects of the document and responsible AI. The intention is to help everyone gain a better understanding of issues related to artificial intelligence, its associated risks and advantages, and to promote informed discussion on such topics among the general public.
